Style Guide: Jacquemus

It's safe to say Jacquemus is one of the hottest brands out right now. Their "Le Chiquito Mini" bag sparked the micro-handbag style craze we're seeing down runways and social media timelines alike. Our good sis Rihanna has made the brand one of her staples when it comes to hitting the streets, which speaks to Jacquemus effortlessly cool aura. While we are closing out another bomb summer, let’s start looking ahead to our fall looks. There is no other time in fashion that one must come correct than the fall season; so let me give you a head start. Taking a look back at Jacquemus Fall 2019 Ready-to-wear as our fall fashion guide, I can tell you that:

  1. Color stories matter

  2. Mary boots are BACK

  3. Layer up.

Let’s talk color stories, this is what stuck out most to me with this collection so get your color wheel out baby girl. Monochrome is still a thing, but the twist is different shades of a specific color, so mixing a pastel blue blouse with an electric blue pant is ideal. Matching isn't your thing, that ain't no problem go ahead and get analogous and pair colors/tones that play well together, so think a deep red with a medium tone orange. NEXT, it looks like your aunties favorite boots are back, "Go, Mary, Go, Mary," but this time they have the millennial hook up in super appealing colors that are sure to be a statement. Layering is a no-brainer as the temperatures begin to drop, but we are not yet just quite ready to cover it all. Hold on to your crop tops for a few more weeks and opt for high-waisted pants with a fly coat thrown over, mini dresses with thigh-high boots, and a pantsuit that has a slightly longer inseam than you are used to. Get creative with it, but most importantly have fun, fall fashion is a time to experiment with it all.
